TechDrift SIGNAL TRACKING

Evidence-first technology signals

Know what tech is actually trending — and why.

TechDrift reads the sources developers already follow and promotes a topic only once it repeats across stories, holds across collection runs, and measurably rises against its own baseline. Every signal arrives with the stories behind it.

What you get

Built to filter hype, not amplify it

Most feeds reward whatever is loudest right now. TechDrift is built around the opposite question: what is still here, across sources, after the noise moves on?

Signals that survive scrutiny

A topic has to clear real gates before it reaches your board: enough distinct articles, presence across multiple collection runs, and a measurable rise over its own prior baseline window.

Every signal shows its evidence

Each trend opens into the actual stories that produced it, with source attribution, excerpts, and direct links. Nothing is a black box you have to take on faith.

No single source dominates

Source shares are compared proportionally, so a high-volume aggregator can't manufacture a trend on its own. A newly added source stays visible while its baseline warms up, but can't skew the board.

Your sources, your feed

Choose which feeds count. Your subscriptions shape both your article stream and the signals you see, so the board reflects your corner of the industry instead of a generic front page.

Reading state that sticks

Open, save, mark read, or dismiss an article and it stays that way. Your history and saved items live with your account, not in one browser's local storage.

See what didn't make the cut

Explore the candidate topics that fell short and the exact gate each one missed — too few articles, not enough runs, or not enough lift. The scoring is inspectable, not implied.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself

Pick your sources

Create an account, verify your email, and choose the feeds you want tracked. You can change the mix whenever you like.

TechDrift collects and scores

New stories are pulled in on a schedule and compared against the preceding window — repetition, persistence across runs, and per-source lift all get measured.

Read the signals, check the work

Open your board for what's rising, drill into the stories behind each signal, and keep the ones worth following.

Why it's different

Evidence-first, by construction

TechDrift is designed so that you never have to trust a ranking you can't verify. Every number on the board traces back to something you can open and read.

  • Published gates are visible. The thresholds a topic must clear are shown alongside the result, not hidden in a scoring model.
  • Advisory notes stay labelled. Where TechDrift adds interpretation, it comes with its stated confidence and its uncertainty spelled out — as an opinion to weigh, never as a fact.
  • Excerpts come from the source text. What you read in a card is taken directly from the stored article, not paraphrased or rewritten, and every card links out to the original.
  • Your account stays under your control. Change your sources, update your email, reset your password, or delete your account and everything tied to it — all from inside the app.
